Best Restaurant in Ravello: Hotel Villa Maria

Incredible Setting at this Restaurant in Ravello

Even just walking past Villa Maria you can tell its somewhat special. There is a lovely little sign outside and if you walk along the path a bit, you can see the organic vegetable garden which supplies the restaurant itself.

We hadn’t made a booking at Villa Maria’s and so when we enquired about a table, we did need to wait for one to become available. Note that we went at the very end of the season. So in high season, I would say if you want one of the tables with the view, definitely book ahead!

The best view by the edge of the restaurant terrace overlooking the cliffs and hills is truly stunning and worth waiting (or booking) for!

The Best Food at The Best Restaurant

Oh my gosh the FOOD. It really feels like its verging on fine dining quality and presentation here. We had pasta dishes to die for: Caprese ravioli in fresh tomato sauce and Pacchero (similar to very large macaroni) filled with Sicilian sauce served with a smoked mozzerella foam. Exquisite.

We followed this up with deserts, which were also beautiful: The Villa Maria tiramisu and a fig and caramel parfait covered with dark chocolate.

Hotel Villa Maria…Best Restaurant in Ravello?

This was one of the most memorable, beautiful places to eat throughout our trip around Italy. The food in both presenation and flavour, really lived up to the unique and authentic settings.

It was all just really wonderful. What a place to spend a lunchtime or an evening. The Amalfi coast feels a little bit unrivalled to me, in it’s capacity for stunning views, coupled with quaint, quiet charm and gastronomy that makes you feel like you’ve never even heard of Italian food before.

Do yourself a favour and do not miss this unforgettable location in charming Ravello. I promise it will be a meal to remember.
