Ericeira Restaurants – The best cafes and restaurants in town!
Ericeira in Portugal is truly a beautiful place with so much to offer…. stunning beaches, a gorgeous old town, surf vibes and of course…FOOD! Below are (in my opinion), some of the best Ericeira restaurants.
1. Balagan Ericeira

Set in a beachouse at a quiet seafront in Ericeira, this restaurant was so beautiful you get a lovey view of the sea, and the sunset too. A lovely decor and setting as you can see from the images. Incredible for vegetarians/vegans as well, it is an Eastern Mediterranean inspired menu, rooted in seasonal foods supplied by neighbouring farmers, butchers and fishermen.
2. You And The Sea

This was a truly fab restaurant and the food was delicious. You and The Sea is also a lovely place to spend a day, however they also have a spa, pool etc and this fantastic Jangada Ericeira Restaurant to boot. A fresh and authentic menu, again focused on local suppliers. They are well-known for their pizzas but also offer meats, pasta, fish and the wonderful menu is developed by chef Andre Rebelo. This Ericeira restaurant was a true delight.
3. The Capsule Cafe

This was my personal favourite place in the whole town! I do love coffee, brunches and breakfasts so this place was an absolute dream! It’s a micro roastery with pastries, coffees and decor to die for. I literally miss this place. Just look at the images. They had a really creative drinks menu including coffee + orange juice, espresso tonics as well as the usual suspects. Although their drinks are amazing, Do NOT miss their basque cheesecake, it is the best cheesecake I have ever had.
4. COSTA FRIA

This was a last minute find for us and it turned out to be a wonderful one! Very attentive staff, and the food was really fresh and tasty. Additionally, this is another Ericeira restaurant which overlooks the sea so is a pretty location. It’s almost tapas-like in nature and so we ordered a few plates to share. This one is very close to the centre of town which is really handy. In their own words, ““COSTA FRIA is about the dynamic energy, local ingredients, and natural beauty that defines why we live in Ericeria, and why so many love to visit.”
